Shalom Centre for Africa
an article by Jean de Dieu Basabose
We have pleasure to keep you informed that we are initiating SCA
(Shalom Centre for Africa). We are trained peacemakers. we are inviting
your experience and support to succeed our mission that is : to build
and sustain positive peace in Africa. Principal activities we envisage
are: educating for peace, doing researches for peace and, cultivating
the culture of nonviolence. Considering the role of the efforts of your
institution in Peacebuilding , we think that this inquiry will meet
your interest.
Co-founders are: Basabose Jean de Dieu (Kigali, Rwanda) and Cori Wielenga (Pretoria, South Africa).
We value your work and we want you to support our dialogue and
peace project (DPP). The support may be: (a) offering your Resources/
books (b) Connect our young organsation, i.e SCA, with potential
funding organizations that you may know. (c) As experienced
peacebringer, we would also appreciate having your technical advices in
order to be more effective and efficient and, if possible, your
financial support.
Dear peaceworker, We need to bind our efforts to face the
challenge that the contemporary world has: to replace the spiral of
violence and destruction with a spiral of peace and development, and
create an environment conducive to self-sustaining and durable peace.
We hope to collaborate with your institution in coming days.
We are waiting for hearing from you
Thank you.
In the spirit of Peace,
Jean de Dieu Basabose, M(com) in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies
