Work of the Center for Global Nonkilling is gaining recognition
an article by Joám Evans Pim, Director, Center for Global Nonkilling

In this link you will find the first U.S. national/international media recognition of the work of the Center for Global Nonkilling. Thank you all for making this possible through your support, both nominal and through participation in academic publications and events:

The Center for Global Nonkilling now engages 700 scholars in 300 universities and institutes in 73 countries in 19 nonkilling research committees. Recent publications include "Nonkilling Security and the State" and forthcoming are "Nonkilling Media", "Nonkilling Education" and "Nonkilling Spiritual Traditions". All publications are available for purchase or free PDF download from our website.

Next month we will be participating in the 6th Milestones in a Global Campaign for Violence Prevention Meeting, organized by the World Health Organization's Violence Prevention Alliance, of which the Center is an associate. Mexico's governmental service for the prevention of violence will be distributing 1,000 copies of their Spanish edition of "Nonkilling Global Political Science" during the event.

For next year, we are looking into developing with each of the 19 Research Committees a pilot University Syllabi for teaching nonkilling from each disciplinary approach (i.e., Nonkilling Anthropology, Nonkilling Education, etc.). We intend to make this a joint project of the committed members from each of the Research Committees, aiming at offering a free online resource for all.
