	Cajamarca declara de interés regional promoción de cultura de paz an article by Andina, Agencia Peruana de Noticias El gobierno regional de Cajamarca declaró de interés y necesidad pública regional la promoción de la cultura de paz y el manejo constructivo de los conflictos sociales regionales, según una ordenanza publicada hoy en el boletín de Normas Legales del Diario Oficial El Peruano. click on photo to enlarge La región dispuso que la gerencia de Desarrollo Social diseñe y desarrolle políticas y estrategias para la promoción de la cultura de paz y prevención de los conflictos en un plazo no mayor de 90 días a partir de la vigencia de la norma. Asimismo, encargó a dicha oficina realizar las acciones, actividades y políticas pertinentes, dirigidas a la prevención y solución de conflictos sociales, y a la promoción de la cultura de paz. Además, convocó a gobiernos locales para que implementen y articulen sus acciones a fin de que la ordenanza sea incluida en sus planes de trabajo y en sus respectivas jurisdicciones territoriales. También se encargó al órgano ejecutivo del gobierno regional de Cajamarca disponer las acciones necesarias para dar cumplimiento a la norma. In particular, the culture of peace needs to be based on a sustainable economy, which, in the long run, should depend on local agricultural production more than imported food.  This requires that the unit for the culture of peace include not only the city, but also the agricultural region surrounding it.
