	Marathon Rotary pour la Paix: 21 septembre 2012 – 24 heures de Paix an article by Marathon Rotary pour la Paix Le peintre Gabriel Landry, de Montréal, a été frappé par le fait que le nombre d’humains dans le monde a atteint en octobre 2011 sept milliards d’individus. Cela lui a inspiré le tableau « 5 À 7 DANS LE MONDE » référant ainsi aux cinq continents et à sept milliards d’humains. click on photo to enlarge Un « 5 à 7 », c’est aussi l’heure du cocktail. De là est venu l’idée d’organiser, le 21 septembre Journée Internationale de la Paix, des rencontres pour parler de la Paix et d’étendre le concept au réseau Rotary en invitant les Rotariens du monde entier à se réunir et discuter autour de ce thème. Ce jour là il y aura donc, pendant 24 heures, des « 5 à 7 » qui se tiendront dans tous les fuseaux horaires, donnant ainsi aux nombreux Rotariens d’un peu partout dans le monde l’occasion de parler de la Paix. Mot de Sakuji Tanaka, Président Rotary International 2012-2013 Je suis heureux d’apprendre cette initiative entreprise pour que les Rotariens du monde s’engagent dans le Marathon Rotary pour la Paix le 21 septembre prochain. Il s’agit là d’un moyen créatif pour encourager les Rotariens de chaque fuseau horaire à consacrer deux heures de réflexion et d’exploration sur le sujet de la paix. La Paix est notre sujet principal en 2012-2013. Le thème que j’ai choisi pour cette année est La Paix par le Service. Nous entendons le mot « paix » chaque jour mais la plupart d’entre nous passons très peu de temps à penser à ce qu’est la paix et à ce que ce mot signifie.
